12th International chamber theatre festival
The International Festival of Chamber Theatre ‘Zlatni Lav’ (Golden Lion) has its foundations in the first theatre constructed in the Umag area. Mr. Antonio Coslovich built the Al Leon d’Oro Hotel at the beginning of the 19th century with it its own small theatre. His idea remains alive today in the form of Umag’s cultural festival which was conceived as a review of modern theatre with a given theme.
