The 16th Book Fair in Istria is going to be held from the 3rd to the 12th of December 2010. The topic of this year’s Book Fair is Book and Film. Even if it’s just the beginning of the year, some famous foreign writers confirmed their arrival in Pula.
The fusion and interaction of these two media, two forms of art and their intermediality creates the possibility of new artistic scopes. With this approach the Book Fair can move a step forward in what it has achieved so far. Literature and film intertwine in many ways which we would like to present during the sixteenth edition of the Book Fair in December this year. From the binding of literary patterns and their cinematic realisations, the presentation of authors whose work has been noted and connected with both spheres, through revalorisation of scripts and scriptwriters as part of literary milieu, to a number of other ways of affiliation of the written word and film through writings and experiences of film directors, actors, cinematographers, stuntmen, though monographs of directors, legendary actors, through the presentation of books of film studies, film essays, collections of film critics, chronicles and film history, encyclopaedias, lexicons, feature and documentary films about writers, poets….
