Rabac was a small fishing town which was “discovered by foreigners in late nineteenth century as attractive and unique destination. People there were excellent fishermen and sailors. Tourism in this part of Istria as well as in Rabac quickly began to develop only in early sixties of 20th cent, when this small town received a complimentary name of The Pearl of Kvarner Bay because of its remarkable natural beauty. The quality of the coast must be clear if you know that Rabac has 4 blue flags for its beautiful pebble beaches. Due to a mild climate it’s a pleasant stay throughout the year, but the most important season still is the summer.
Festivals which are organized during the summer are: Cruise races, European Sailing Championship, Sailing Regatta, Summer Carnival, Istria Brass Bands and Fishermen Festival.
Rabac Summer Festival is organized on the beach Girandela and gathers a lot of famous international DJs, guaranteeing fun at the beach parties.
