The largest number of producers of traditionally made brandy are in northern and central Istria. You can taste their masterpieces at the brandy exhibit that is organized every year in Hum - the smallest town in the world. Such brandy is most often made from grape marc into which aromatic and medicinal herbs or different fruit are added. The most popular types of grape-brandy are rue and mistletoe brandy, but there are numerous other sorts as well: with honey, St. John's wort, sour cherries, mint, walnuts…

This is an evening when you can hide behind masks, this is an evening of Dracula, witches, ghosts, and princes, princesses and other ...This time with you is DJ Daniel, along with special guest evening - Lady Jelena, who will live to sing some of the biggest hits of Madonna, Lady Gaga, Tina T .. 8th HAND MADE traditional FEST will be held in Pula from 22 - 24 10 2010 in the House of Croatian veterans. This year the festival will host about 150 exhibitors from across the country, who will exhibit in four halls of the beautiful building of the House of Croatian veterans. Exhibitors, in addition to the task of promoting, to manufacture or finalize the preparation of its products or services on the "spot", which is the specificity of festival.

In the tradition of Istrian cuisine PROSCIUTTO is the pinnacle and the standard for everything that is good, for all sins of the palate. Prosciutto is perceived and recognized as the supreme beauty; the Istrians call it - vijulin, which means ‘violin’. It certainly does deserve such regal status due to its taste, aroma, colour, perfect tenderness i.e. freshness, and even though these elements are only recognizable by very refined palates, the real gourmets are always able to appreciate them. Its quality is determined by its sweetness, tender texture and flavour. What are the secrets of this delicacy? The skill, the care and the patience of manufacturers, but also the weather conditions…
It is in its honour that the Municipality of Tinjan organizes the traditional International Prosciutto Fair ISAP..

This is the biggest convention of Croatian tourism professionals where the entire industry has an opportunity to analyze the effects of this year's season and announce their activities for the following tourist year.This year, the Croatian Tourism Days will be held in Istria for the first time, in Rovinj, from 20 October to 22 October 2010.

The first International Fair-exhibition of marine equipment, PULA BOAT FAIR, will be held for the first time in Pula, at present the most successful shipbuilding center in Croatia.
In 2010 in the middle of October for a period of four days, the Fair will open the doors to everyone interested in the manufacturers and representatives of the most prestigious Croatian and world brands of marine equipment.
In addition to exhibiting equipment, the Fair will also host accompanying events, professional lectures and displays of the latest technical and technological innovations in this area.

The competition for the best Croatian Rural Woman will be held in Istria this year due to the last year winner from Pazin - Davorka Šajina.
The Croatian Rural Women's Award is dedicated to 15th of October - World Rural Women's Day.
