The largest book fair in Croatia, and an important literary event in Istria, takes place in the Secession-style building in Pula and, in addition to Croatian publishing, it promotes regional European publishing efforts. Apart from the sale of books at reduced prices, the Fair stages a range of other events: promotions of recent titles, meetings with authors ’Breakfast with authors’, concerts, stage and video presentations, exhibitions - thus becoming a true book festival.
Pula Thursday, 4.12.2008. - 7.12.2008. Organiser JK Vega, Pula will host couple of hundreds sailors from Europe for the St. Nicholas Regatta. Start of the 1st race is December 5th 2008 at 10 a.m. Six races are scheduled. Definitive schedule will be inserted in the Sailing Instructions. The best sailors in each class will be awarded.

The exhibition Tošo Dabac: Istrian Diary is open until January the 15th in Tošo Dabac Archives, Ilica 17, Zagreb. The exhibition concept authors, Jerica Ziherl, curator and director of the Lapidarium Museum in Novigrad and Marina Benažić, the Tošo Dabac Archive curator, have based the exhibition on the Istrian Diary, an original Tošo Dabac' writings from 1945.
