The very first aim of the ITF tennis satellite tournament 'Istarska rivijera' is to offer the possibility to young tennis players, especially to the Croatian ones, to make their first professional experience and to gain the first ATP points. Lots of famous world known tennis players already took part in this event in their early beginnings and one of them was also Goran Ivanišević, the greatest Croatian tennis player. Petar Korda and the magnificent Boris Becker took also part in this important tournament.

For a few days in spring, Pazin, city in the heart of Istria, becomes the venue for a very unusual event - science fiction convention. After being held for the first time in 2000 it soon grew into a real festival of borderline sciences, SF literature and films, accompanied by a rich program of lectures, computer workshops, card playing tournaments, creative writing workshops, sports competitions, fashion shows and theme parties.
