The 48th Europe Rally will be held in the Camping Park in Umag from the 28th of May to the 2nd of June 2009. That means that the Camping Park in Umag will be the centre of attention of European nature lovers for five days. It is no coincidence that this particular camp in Umag, which boasts four stars, was selected to be the venue for this event. The president of the Europe Rally Committee, Jean-Marc Dudt, stressed in an interview that: “This will be the first time that Europe Rally is visiting a “new” country, Croatia. We will have the opportunity to stay in a four star camp, with all the comforts, at a beautiful location on the Adriatic coast. We will also have the opportunity of visiting Istra, one of the most beautiful Croatian regions.” These being the words of the head of the Europe Rally, there is no doubt that the venue was well selected.
