Recreational swimming marathon is the central event of Swimming Festival at Sea, which is held every year on the first weekend in September at the City of Porec. Marathon starts at 'blue' city beach, and you can join at any time between 9 and 15 hours and choose one of three marathon lenghts.
The marathon ends at 5pm with the presentation of awards.
Bronze dolphin is awarded to those who complete the 1500 m lap, and anyone can do this!
Silver dolphin is awarded to those who reach Sv. Nikola island at a distance of 3000 m. If you don't try it, you'll never know if you can do this!
Golden dolphin is reserved for those who reach Sv. Nikola island and swim around it - altogether 5000 m.
