Bagpipes /meh/ in the heart

Saturday, 9.5.2009. 18:00Raša

Bagpipes /meh/ in the heartThis less known Istrian instrument "MEH" might remind someone of the Scottish bagpipes, but wait until you hear its sound - above all when it is played by the 91 year old Bepi Jelcic Slavicic, the oldest bellows player, or his ten years younger colleague Milevoj Milio, without whom this meeting would not be the same. Only then you could find out what exactly bellows and the true Istrian music expression are.

However, do not let this veterans baffle you since the new young hopes are on the way - promising that this original Istrian sound will never disappear.
