Medieval torture devices

Medieval torture devicesThe Middle Ages are often referred to as the Dark Ages, and the exhibition “Medieval torture devices”, featuring over fifty reconstructions of the grisly devices from the period, certainly justifies the appellation.

Reconstructed torture devices used in punitive procedures throughout Europe from the Middle Ages to the 18th ct. or even longer, will be displayed in the future Museum of wine and rural production in Brtonigla until June 10, 2013. The author of the exhibition and owner of the impressive collection of torture devices is Polish artist and collector Piotr Buczkowski.
